Introduced at BaselWorld 2018, the GMT-Master II looks absolutely stunning in 18ct Everose gold, with Rolex’s newly developed brown Cerachrom ceramic and black bezel insert. Also available in Rolesor Oystersteel and 18ct Everose gold, today we bring a closer look at what makes the solid, all-Everose gold reference so special.

First presented at BaselWorld 2018, the GMT-Master II is absolutely stunning in all-18ct Everose gold

18ct Everose gold is a proprietary gold alloy that was developed and is manufactured by Rolex, in the manufacture’s very own foundry that shares its location with Rolex’s case and bracelet making facilities in Plan-les-Ouates. It is special both for its color and its internal qualities. First, 18ct Everose gold displays a unique hue that varies between saturated and pale rose, depending on the prevailing lighting conditions. Second, due to its proprietary alloying, 18ct Everose gold remains safe from fading or other deteriation of its color over time — something ordinary rose gold timepieces can be prone to.

On the wrist, the GMT-Master II in all 18ct Everose gold looks warm and unobtrusive, all the while losing nothing from the world-renowned luster of a Rolex timepiece fully crafted from Rolex gold. In that, Everose gold is more noticeable and easier to appreciate than white gold — the most subtle among precious metals and certainly the most difficult to differentiate, but a whole lot less noticeable as traditional 18ct yellow gold.

On the wrist, the GMT-Master II in 18ct Everose gold reveals the unique hue of its precious material: the way it harmonizes with one’s color of skin redefines the wearing experience of an all-gold timepiece

The iconic 24-graduated, bi-color bezel features black and a newly developed brown, with both colors being obtained from the same, single piece of exceptionally scratch resistant Cerachrom ceramic. Rolex’s special — and closely guarded — manufacturing technologies allow it to color the same piece of Cerachrom into two distinctly different colors while ensuring an absolutely perfect seam between the two halves.

A rare sight indeed: the three-link Oyster bracelet is best-known in its Oystersteel presentation, while in all-Everose gold, as seen here, it appears stunning in a bold, new way. Produced by Rolex from the creation of the Everose gold alloy itself all the way to the finishing, the Oyster bracelet is a watchmaking icon

On the wrist, the presence of an all-gold Rolex timepiece prevails. With its three-link Oyster bracelet, featuring polished center links and sidelink profiles, combined with brushed side links, it looks delicate and immensely precious at the same time. Fitted with an Oysterlock folding safety clasp with a 5mm Easylink extension system, this GMT-Master II wraps around the wrist with breathtaking beauty and comfort.

The Everose gold hands and indices are matched to the gold GMT-Master II text over a glossy black dial. Directly below the six o’clock marker, in between the “SWISS” and “MADE” texts sits the Rolex Crown, indicating that the GMT-Master II Everose 126715CHNR features the latest generation Manufacture Rolex Caliber 3285 with extended, 70-hour power reserve.

2018 marked Rolex introducing its newly developed brown-black bi-color Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert, available in the Rolesor Everose and all-Everose gold versions of the GMT-Master II

Combining the user-friendly and highly functional 24-hour GMT indication with the Oyster bracelet and 18ct Everose gold makes for a truly unique timepiece — there is no other like it in the Rolex range.

The GMT-Master II in all-Everose gold is a rare option among all-gold Rolex timepieces — and yet one that is so easy to choose when appreciated in its all-18ct Everose gold beauty.
