Rolex Cellini Dual Time
Reference 50529

The Cellini is an extremely rare and special collection even within Rolex’s unparalleled universe of watchmaking.

Comprising the only Rolex watches not belonging to the Oyster range, the Cellini has for long offered distinctly elegant and classically styled references.

The Cellini Dual Time is an excellent example of that.

Rolex Cellini Dual Time, Reference 50529 - € 18’300

Available exclusively in gold, the Cellini line offers designs and proportions of timeless elegance. The Cellini Dual Time we are presenting you today has a case crafted in-house by Rolex from 18ct white gold — with the gold used for the case coming from Rolex’s very own gold foundry, situated right within its case manufacture.

The resulting exterior of 39 millimeters is of stunning beauty and full of unique details.

The fluted bezel stands apart from its counterpart used in the Oyster range of elegant watches — such as the Datejust and Day-Date — by incorporating both a fluted rim and a curved, convex surface into the same one bezel.

The graciously curved, highly polished lugs effectively counterbalance the striking aesthetic of the fluted bezel and grooved dial.

The dial features a so-called Guilloche pattern, with its grooves extending and widening from the very center of the dial. The sub-dial repeats this pattern on a much smaller scale. Hands, indices and the Rolex Crown in 18ct white gold complete the look, complemented by the polished frames around the 12-hour sub-dial.

The Cellini Dual Time, as its name implies, offers an extremely useful second time zone indication.

To further extend its ease of use, the 12-hour second time zone sub-dial has a small day-night aperture that allows the wearer the keep track of the AM and PM hours in the second time zone he or she is tracking with the Cellini Dual Time.

All this is made possible by the Manufacture Rolex Caliber 3180, a Superlative Chronometer crafted entirely by Rolex. The 3180, like every Rolex watch movement produced today, has its accuracy tested and certified by the independent COSC chronometer controlling institution. This process is followed by Rolex’s yet more stringent in-house tests which stress not only accuracy, but water resistance, self-winding efficiency and water resistance as well.
