Rolex Sky-Dweller Reference 326935

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller elegantly combines unprecedented watchmaking know-how with practicality and ease of use tailored for the modern cosmopolite. Designed to track and conveniently display two time zones simultaneously, the impressively complex Sky-Dweller is also equipped with a Saros annual calendar and the Ring Command system.

Two separate time zones are displayed simultaneously in utmost elegance on the dial of the sky-dweller. The iconic cyclops date display at 3 o’clock, large hour markers and distinctively shaped hands ensure uncompromised legibility

Beautifully disguising its underlying complexity, the Sky-Dweller maintains a resolute focus on legibility – an attribute of fundamental importance. Its clear dial layout, with its highly legible hour markers and hands, ensures optimal and accurate reading of local time by day and in darker conditions – the latter thanks to the long-lasting blue glow of its luminescent Chromalight display. The local time is displayed by the central hands of the Sky-Dweller. When travelling, this traditional display provides an accurate reading of local time, rendering the negotiation of flight schedules and meetings at one’s momentary location easy.

By contrast, the off-centre ring provides a reading of one’s home time. This is done using a 24-hour ring to see AM/PM hours at a glance when one is several time zones away from family and headquarters.

Uniquely smart from cover to cover: the sky-dweller is powered by one of the most technically complex mechanical movements ever conceived by rolex

When not travelling, the displays can be reversed, using the main hands to tell one’s home time and relying on the 24-hour disc to easily track the time zone of offices or family abroad.

Behind the Sky-Dweller’s date and month displays is the highly impressive Saros annual calendar system. The date is indicated in the instantly recognizable Cyclops date window located at the 3 o’clock position on the dial. The date display is of extremely high technical refinement, for the disc advances at exactly midnight and changes instantaneously, negating the chance of erroneous reading of the date during the hours around midnight.

The second display of the Saros annual calendar is for the month of the year, indicated around the periphery of the dial. At the outer edge of each Everose gold hour marker is an aperture that shows red to indicate the current month, with the number of the month correlating to the number of the hour marker.

The month aperture at 12 o’clock marks December, the one at 1 o’clock marks January and so the sequence continues.

The refined textures and adaptable shapes which characterise the sky-dweller sit in perfect harmony, achieving an aesthetic of timeless elegance

The Saros annual calendar has yet another feature of convenience to offer: its fully mechanical movement is capable of differentiating between 30-day and 31-day months, meaning that the date display skips the 31st at the end of the months that end on the 30th, automatically indicating the 1st at midnight. Consequently, the Sky-Dweller’s date display requires just one adjustment every year, always only on March 1st.

The Sky-Dweller is equipped with the Ring Command system, a revolutionary mechanism of interaction between the rotatable bezel, the winding crown and the movement. Setting the watch – for example when switching between time zones – is remarkably simple and intuitive. After unscrewing the Twinlock screw-down crown, the fluted bezel – beautifully crafted from solid Everose gold – can be rotated counter-clockwise to select which of the watch’s functions is to be set. The chosen function is then quickly, easily and securely adjusted using the winding crown. The reassuring click and smooth rotation of the Ring Command bezel is a truly outstanding tactile experience in the world of watchmaking, painstakingly engineered for feel, function and durability.

Protected by the 100m waterproof Oyster case is the Manufacture Rolex calibre 9001, a consummate demonstration of Rolex technology. With a number of patent applications filed over the course of its development, this movement is one of the most complex ever developed by Rolex.

The fully mechanical saros annual calendar of the sky-dweller is capable of differentiating between 30-day and 31-day months, allowing for the date display to skip the 31st day at the end of the months that end on the 30th, thus automatically indicating 1st at midnight. Consequently, the sky-dweller’s date display requires just one adjustment every year, always only on march 1st

Its architecture, manufacturing and innovative features make it exceptionally precise and reliable. Offering an extended power reserve of approximately 72 hours, replenished by the bidirectional self-winding Perpetual rotor, calibre 9001 was designed with the world traveller in mind.

The sky-dweller is equipped with the ring command system, a revolutionary mechanism of interaction between the rotatable bezel, the winding crown and the movement. This intuitive invention allows for the easy setting of the time and date when switching between time zones

Presented in Everose gold, an exclusive 18 ct pink gold alloy developed and patented by Rolex, the Sky-Dweller owes its unique hue and special radiance to the proprietary composition of this gold alloy. The Oyster bracelet, also crafted from Everose gold including its Oysterclasp and Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link, provides superb wearing comfort under all circumstances.

Enveloped in the beautiful radiance of everose gold, the sky-dweller highlights rolex’s outstanding achievements in metallurgy

Like every Rolex timepiece presently manufactured, every Sky-Dweller reference is certified as a Superlative Chronometer – a timepiece that has passed both the independent COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) tests for movement performance, as well as Rolex’s twice as stringent in-house accuracy tests and its quality control procedures encompassing power reserve, self-winding efficiency and water resistance.

We would be delighted to show you the Sky-Dweller collection in our Petite Geneve Petrovic Rolex Boutiques in Budapest, Belgrade and Porto Montenegro.
