Named the Cheeky Monkey, Roberto Coin designed his monkey after the pygmy monkey, the smallest primate in the world and one of the most rare to find, as they live most, if not all, their lives way up top trees and very rarely come to ground. Roberto chose to design after the pygmy rather than other well-known monkeys for this particular reason, that and it's insatiable adorableness.
