Rolex Sea-Dweller Ref. 1665

A recent auction organized by Antiquorum's marked a very special Rolex wristwatch. It is an early diving Sea-Dweller model which belonged to Philip Cousteau, son of the legendary adventurer Jacques Cousteau, from the famous family which is inextricably linked to the history of Rolex.

Built in 1967. steel Rolex chronometer is rated with exceptional condition in terms of case, dial and mechanism. After the estimated value of the maximum $ 150,000, this extremely rare wristwatch reached as much as 183,750 dollars at the auction, confirming the first-class status among Rolex collectors.
